That First Step's a Doozy!

This has been a busy year. I graduated (yay!!!) from University of New Orleans, got accepted to Texas Woman's University for the Masters of Library Science program (so cool!!!) and now I have just accepted a job offer to teach English in Japan (what is even happening?!?!). As excited as I am to begin this journey it is not going to be cheap.
I will not be paid for my first month's work until the last day of the second month I am in Japan. Because of this pay schedule, I will have to be ready to cover my first two months finances as well as my travel expenses to Japan. I already have a budget focused on saving, but my goal is a hefty $6500 (plane ticket + other travel expenses + apartment fees + furniture + other set up costs + 2 months living expenses) so I'll also be making some art and selling prints between now and then.

More prints of bad art will be available as I have time to paint them.

It's Almost Time

It's getting so close to graduation that I can taste it. This is what I've been working towards since I first started school *cough* 10 years ago *cough* But it's really been the last 4 years that I've been able to take my schooling seriously and be a full time student. Three of my five classes have final exams scheduled this week. I'm really confident about two of them, but one I'm pretty concerned about. (Criminology is hard.)
Graduation is this coming Saturday which is pretty crazy and I'm still checking my grad program's application every day to see if I've been accepted or rejected. Hopefully I'll get word this week, but I'm not sure if I'll get a response before they receive my final grades.
Also this week: I'm starting back at a certain video game store. I'm pretty darn excited about it. It is one of the few jobs I *really* enjoy doing. Basically, what I'm saying is that this week is huge and I'm worried and excited and scared, but mostly excited.
I really think some great things are around the corner for me. I went to an art store and got some canvas board, paper, and brushes so I can get back into painting, we also picked up some guitar strings and picks because Chris wants to  and I miiiiiight be getting set up to do some twitch streaming over the summer.
Here is pen drawing I did to practice before I paint it later this week. I just finished playing Hohokum, I'm hoping I can get the platinum trophy soon. I need to practice for the Hohoquick playthrough and there are a couple of other trophies I'm missing to be 100%

This is all Nonsense

This week I mailed out the rest of my graduate school application. I also mailed my graduation announcements, booked an AirBnB, ordered my cap and gown and completed two big assignments for two of my classes. All I have left now is two more big projects and finals. In just short of one month I'll be graduating from the University of New Orleans, and in August I'll hopefully start to attend Texas Woman's University to earn my Master's of Library Science.
I'm in my last three weeks of my undergraduate and there is this pressure on my chest that is only getting heavier with each task that I complete. I still have so much to do, and I know that there is time to get it done, especially since I left my job at the day care, but I'm still filled with worry. And now, thanks to leaving that job, which was too stressful and too tiring, I also worry about not working. I hope that I find a new job soon. I have been applying to libraries, crossing my fingers that someone will see how hard I work and hire me, but I'm not expecting it. Next week, I'll probably go to a temp agency to see if they can find anything for me.
In the meantime I'll keep trying my best. I'll keep my chin up until I finished what I started by walking across that stage.

On the super rad side of things this new season of Doctor Who seems awesome and I'm crazy excited about it. Also, I ordered my dress for graduation and it's super pretty.

Here is a picture of Wilfred being a grump about wearing his harness.
