I finally got my schedule sorted out for school next month. I am so excited and nervous. Ok, mostly nervous. I'm taking 18 credits, but I won't be working so I'll be able to just concentrate on school. I'm taking Children's Literature, Intro to Teaching, Child & Adolescent Development, Intro to Environmental Science, Problem Solving/Number Relations for Elementary Teachers and Basic Japanese 1. I was going to take German since I already have some down, but it conflicted with my necessary classes. I thought that Japanese would be super fun and it would give me some prep work for when I finish my schooling and *crossing fingers* go to teach there for a year. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems as if no time at all has past since I started at the community college 2 years ago, and now I'm starting at university. I feel like I'm so close to my goal now that I can almost touch it and at the same time I'm wincing at the 2-3 years I have left to finish my BS. I can really see it now, the work that I've put in, the stressful days and long nights have all been leading to this moment. I know I'm barely half way through my studies, but it's really cool to look back and remember that first day.
As a side note, I usually like to post pictures with my updates, but I couldn't think of a good one for this post. I haven't done anything worth mentioning this summer, I haven't painted anything worthwhile in a long time and I haven't made anything either. So hopefully soon I will post something that I have done, even if it is a page from one of my coloring books.
